Meet the teacherHello! I am a math and science enthusiast. Asking questions, investigating and learning how things work is who I am.
Origin I'm a transplant from Seattle (though I don't drink coffee), and am loving the sunshine here...the heat not so much. My love of living things has been rekindled through discovering all the new flora and fauna Arizona has to offer. |

My education
I attended Brigham Young University. During my undergrad I took a Bio 100 course where I would meet my favorite professor. The teacher was extremely enthusiastic, uncommonly knowledgeable and tremendously inspiring; I continued to sign up for every class he taught. Eventually I learned I was passionate about Molecular biology and graduated with a degree in MMBio and a minor in Mathematics.
This professor offered me a TA position after my first year. As a TA I discovered my love of teaching and serving others. I believe teachers are most effective when they are invested in their students and the students know they care. Getting to know and help students is the most rewarding part of my job.
I'm excited to meet my new kids for this year and help them discover the joy of learning.
